Nayaswamis Daiva and Gangamata

Nayaswami Daiva has spent his adult life studying, practicing and sharing the timeless teachings of Self-realization, as taught by Paramhansa Yogananda. He has lived within an Ananda community since 1985, enjoying the friendship, support and inspiration found through living with other like-minded individuals. Daiva has spent the years exploring the application of deep spiritual experience and understanding to daily life.

Nayaswami Gangamata is joyful and inspired in all that she does. In sharing the teachings of Self-realization, as taught by Paramhansa Yogananda, she offers a blend of philosophy and personal experience based in her decades of living at Ananda, and daily practice and exploration into the spiritual life. Practical and grounded, she shares wisdom naturally in all she does.
Trained by Swami Kriyananda, Nayaswamis Daiva and Gangamata have been serving as the spiritual directors for Ananda Portland since 2004, and together they founded Ananda Center at Laurelwood as a retreat center and spiritual community to provide haven for anyone seeking respite, renewal, discovery and support for inner growth.
