Mindfulness Meditation Retreat

With Miriam Rodgers and David Seybert

Mindfulness is the most scientifically studied method of meditation, and has been shown to reduce stress and anxiety and to improve mental health and concentration.

Mindfulness meditation teaches us to be unconditionally present – to clearly see ourselves, just as we are and what is happening, just as it is.

Your retreat* experience will include:

  • Exploration of the principles of mindfulness meditation
  • Practice of sitting and walking meditation
  • Opportunities for individual meditation guidance
  • Introduction to Qigong to balance the body and mind

Through the practice of mindfulness, we become aware of the mental unrest that arises when “what is” isn’t how we think it should be.  We learn to calmly observe our thoughts and sensations and to open into the luminous tranquility of our inner wisdom.

Experience a relaxing retreat with guided mindfulness meditation and yoga, explore universal spiritual principles and feel the joy of life in an intentional spiritual community while surrounded in the beauty and peace of our rural retreat center west of Portland, Oregon.

10:00 –11:00 Instruction in mindfulness practice

11:15 –12:30 Guided mindfulness meditation practice

3:00 – 3:30 Walking meditation
